The Department Executive Committee is a body which assists the Director in managing various aspects of departmental life that do not fall within the remit of the council and the teaching committee (see Article 26 of the Statute of the University of Pisa). It is composed of the Director, the Deputy Director and the Administrative Secretary who are ex officio members, as well as elected members: two full professors, two associate professors, two researchers and a technical-administrative staff representative.
Departmental Council
The Council is the body responsible for the orientation, programming and coordination of the Department.
The Departmental Council is made up of tenured and fixed-term professors, researchers and the administrative secretary who is responsible for taking the minutes. In addition, two technical-administrative staff representatives and two representatives elected by PhD students, scholarship holders and postgraduates united in a single electoral body form part of the Council.
Three representatives of students attending the Department’s teaching facilities are part of the Departmental Council, but are limited to the organisation of teaching activities and related services.
