The services offered by the Department of Economics and Management (DEM) in support of students with disabilities/learning disabilities/and other certified situations (even if only temporarily, such as aftermath of accidents) are coordinated by the support group (email: supporto_autonomia@ec.unipi.it) formed by Prof. Fabrizio Bientinesi (contact person), Prof. Pietro Guarnieri, Prof. Giuseppina Iacoviello and provided togheter with the University’s central unit (USID, https://www.unipi.it/index.php/usid) and the DSA desk (https://www.unipi.it/index.php/servizi-e-orientamento/item/1174-sportello-dislessia-e-dsa-disturbi-specifici-di-apprendimento).
USID provides general support tools (e.g., mobility support) while the local support group follows up on needs specifically related to teaching in the Department of Economics.
In particular, thanks to special funding from the University of Pisa and the Department, a project has been active at this department since 2018, with the collaboration of a psychologist specialized in learning problems and ad hoc tutors who support students in planning activities and developing a suitable study method.
