The first steps for enrolling on a Master’s Degree

Entry requirements: a bachelor’s degree diploma or equivalent

Application submission: submit your academic transcript to be assessed by the Student Affairs Committee set up for each Master’s degree programme via the University portal (http://ammissionelm.adm.unipi.it/).

Assessment of the entry requirements: assessment of the curricular requirements and the appropriate personal knowledge and skills required by each master’s degree programme.

  • If all the requirements (curricular and personal knowledge and skills) are assessed positively, the enrolment process can be completed.
  • If the curricular requirements are not fully satisfied, the completion of the enrolment process is subject to the sitting and passing of the exams indicated by the Student Affairs Committee, through enrolment in single transition course. The mark declared for these exams does not count towards the average of the final exam.
  • If the personal knowledge and skill requirements are not fully satisfied, the completion of the enrolment process is subject to, depending on the master’s programme, the sitting and passing of a written test or the sitting and passing of specific exams (the mark declared for these exams does not count towards the average of the final exam).
  • Once all the exams to compensate the missing requirements (academic and/or personal knowledge and skills) have been sat, the Student Secretariat at the University (Largo Pontecorvo 3) must be informed.
  • Following the overall assessment, the master’s degree programme shall decide whether the candidate is admitted, rejected on appropriate grounds or given a conditional offer.
  • Admission is not permitted to applicants who do not meet the academic requirements.
